ENTREPRENEUR EDUCATION PROGRAMME

DELIVERING EDUCATION TO DEVELOP AFRICA'S HIGH-GROWTH POTENTIAL WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS.

To enable Africa’s women entrepreneurs to build high growth companies, they need access to specialist training and development, and that’s where the Lionesses of Africa accelerators come in. Each cohort of 30 women entrepreneurs benefit from a 12 week development programme, delivered by highly experienced and successful women business builders who have been there and got the proverbial ’t-shirt’.

MENTORING PROGRAMME

PROVIDING MENTORSHIP TO SUPPORT AFRICA'S WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS ALONG THEIR BUSINESS JOURNEYS.

Through the Lionesses of Africa Mentoring Programme, experienced women entrepreneurs are sending the elevator down to the next generation of young women business builders who will follow in their footsteps, through the power of mentoring. A partnership with the Cherie Blair Foundation Global Women’s Mentoring Programme ensures access to a global network of highly experienced mentors and resources.

CREATING GREAT EVENTS THAT CONNECT AND INSPIRE AFRICA'S WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS.

There is nothing quite as powerful as meeting with fellow women entrepreneurs and sharing knowledge, experience and business opportunities. In 2017 alone, Lionesses of Africa hosted 54 business networking events in 15 African cities and 3 events in Europe in 2017/18, to connect women entrepreneurs with each other and with potential clients, investors and eco-system influencers. The live event portfolio includes: Lionesses of Africa Annual Conference, Lioness Lean In Series, Young Lioness Lean In Programme, The Lioness Intrapreneur Sessions, and Start-up Night! Africa International Series.

ACCESS TO CAPITAL PROGRAMME

CONNECTING AFRICA'S WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS TO FUNDERS.

Getting access to capital can be tough for Africa’s women entrepreneurs. Lionesses of Africa’s approach through it’s Access to Capital Program is to showcase women entrepreneurs to potential investors and funding resources, and to create powerful networking events where business matching can be done. These include demo days, showcase events, one-on-one investor meetings, and international pitch events.

That’s why we have created our Access to Markets Program, connecting and showcasing Africa’s women entrepreneurs to local, pan-African and international marketplaces. We understand the power of digital media to connect Africa’s women entrepreneurs with global audiences, making their businesses seen and their voices heard. Each day, we share hundreds of stories of Africa’s women entrepreneurs on our website and social media platforms. Our daily Good Morning Newsletter and our weekly The Mix e-magazine bring news and inspiration directly to the email inboxes of our community. Our Startup Story Platform showcases Africa’s inspirational women businesses and brand builders every day. Our Blogger Platform provides a platform for women entrepreneurs to share their insights. Our Lioness Radio platform gives voice to Africa’s women entrepreneurs in our weekly podcast radio shows. Our Lioness TV show connects global audiences with our women entrepreneurs and their businesses. And, our soon to be launched 1 MILLION Websites initiative will help Africa’s women entrepreneurs to access the power of e-commerce to grow their businesses.

Lionesses of Africa is a community of 600,000+ women entrepreneurs, for women entrepreneurs, and that’s its unique strength. Women join the community to meet and network with fellow women entrepreneurs across the African continent and the Diaspora. They do business with one another, they support each other, they collaborate and open up new market opportunities, and importantly they share their experiences and insights to help others to grow.
