Chloe Consultants was founded by Yolanda Sing, a Senior Human Resource Executive and professional coach who inspires people to connect with the latent leadership qualities within themselves. Her unique technique uses horses as a catalyst to allow people to take charge of their lives, to find their purpose, and to draw upon their own gifts and talents, to become their authentic selves.
LoA heard about the truly inspirational Yolanda Sing this month and wanted to share this amazing story
What does your company do?
I am an equine leadership coach who has created a unique programme to cater for the leadership and development needs of organizations worldwide. My company, Chloe Consultants, offers an experiential-learning course that uses interaction between horses and people to create awareness and provide a platform for positive feedback right from ‘the horse’s mouth’. This one-of-a kind-learning programme has shown tremendous results in the business world, with clients returning year after year.
"The horse provides the conduit for individual exploration, as the horse provides immediate feedback and offers opportunities for profound personal growth."
What inspired you to start your company?
My first book - Power in the Paddock tells the story. Life is too short not to follow your dreams.
Why should anyone use your service or product?
I am a professional coach who inspires people to connect with the latent leadership qualities within themselves. I hold four degrees, specializing in People Development, Business Administration, Leadership Development and Psychology, and have spent time in Spain, USA, and Europe to qualify as an Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator. Although I am based in Maclear in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, I personally run myprogrammes in various centres around the country: Maclear, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth as well as outside South Africa: United Kingdom, Dubai, India and Kenya. The programmes offer powerful and unique approaches to personal and leadership development. I apply a combination of absolute passion and global experience to all my programmes, and have a proven track record.
"Working with a horse offers an emotional attachment that mirrors situations similar to those in which a participant may face, in the workplace."
Share a little about your entrepreneurial journey. And, do you come from an entrepreneurial background?
I was in the global corporate world for many years, doing what I was not passionate about. All the unhappiness and constant stress, resulted in me manifesting a brain tumour, which was the turning point for stepping out of my comfort zone and following my dreams.
What are your future plans and aspirations for your company?
I would like to expand my business into Africa and Saudi Arabia, as the development of women is a key passion and focus. The other focus is to develop the youth, but offering them an experimental and non conventional way of embracing their passion and authenticity. I would like a movie director to see the potential of "Power in the Paddock" as a screen play.
"We have more to learn from Horses. Let them teach us."
What gives you the most satisfaction being an entrepreneur?
Adding value to peoples lives. Creating a broader platform to influence the world.
What's the biggest piece of advice you can give to other women looking to start-up?
It is not easy! You need to have faith, resilience and a very strong desire.

Why LoA loves it….
Yolanda has a powerful personal story which in itself inspires and motivates others. Through her very special approach to working with horses and people in order to assist a very special kind of learning, she brings a whole new meaning to understanding the power of leadership, motivating those who participate in her programme to embrace life and to appreciate their own unique personal qualities and strengths.
