As parents, we make every effort and sacrifice possible to ensure that our children receive the best education available. Unfortunately, the school curriculum taught today is missing one crucial puzzle-piece that will make our children’s education complete - money management. In her new book, Raising Money Savvy Kids, author and entrepreneur, Kathryn Main, is on a mission to provide kids with the financial advantage and financial freedom through education that most of their parents never had.
Understanding concepts that revolve around money is a core skill for participating in modern society and economic life. Financial concepts such as debt, budgeting, interest, investing, saving, taxes, etc. form the basis of all the financial decisions, large and small. Financial education can make a huge difference. It can empower and equip young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take charge of their lives and build a more secure future for themselves and their families. Supporting financial education for young people can be viewed as a critical long-term investment in human capital. Author Kathryn Main passionately believes that young people struggle in life and business because they are not taught the rules of money through their everyday actions. She advocates for parents helping their children to better understand how to value and manage money, having honest conversations that will upskill them in their future lives. Hew new book, Money Savvy Kids, provides a practical tooklit to help parents to have those conversations and to make a real difference in their children’s lives.

Why LoA loves it….
Many successful entrepreneurs find their ultimate passion in business through personal experiences or by seeing a gap in the marketplace that needs to be filled by a practical solution. For entrepreneur Kathryn Main, her passion came as a result of both of these things. In her new book, Money Savvy Kids, she shares her own tough journey navigating the world of business and money management, providing not only her own personal learnings along the way, but also some great advice and practical tools to help other young people. This is an easy to read, easy to grasp book of concepts for young people and their parents to help them navigate the world of money management. It is also a great way for young people to better understand the life of an entrepreneur, and to help them to think more entrepreneurially in their own lives. --- Melanie Hawken, founder and editor-in-chief of Lionesses of Africa
