Helping clients to achieve ‘ageless grace’ is the vision that entrepreneur Deborah Nicholls has for her company and she has developed an innovative exercise and wellness programme called Ageless Grace - Anti-Ageing Exercises for Body & Brain, which provides the solution.
LoA was fascinated to hear more about this great business this month from founder Deborah Nicholls.
What does your company do?
We teach an exercise programme called Ageless Grace which addresses and focuses on the 21 ageing factors of the body and stimulates the 5 functional areas of the brain. The programme incorporates the cutting edge science of Neuroplasticity - the ability of the brain and nervous system to change its form and function.

What inspired you to start your company?
It was that question we ask ourselves - "Why am I doing what I am doing when the passion has gone out of it?” "What is my true passion?” In my case, my true passion is wellness of the body and brain and how the two are interconnected.
Why should anyone use your service or product?
It is an exercise programme which can be done for only 10 minutes daily - preferably first thing in the morning. It awakens all of your senses for the day. It makes you feel physically refreshed. It prepares your brain for any stresses you may encounter during the course of the day and also to take in new information.

Tell us a little about your team
My team consists of a business strategist.
Share a little about your entrepreneurial journey. And, do you come from an entrepreneurial background?
I started my own recruitment agency at the age of 24. Since then I have never worked for a boss! I have been my own boss! I sold my recruitment agency in Johannesburg when I moved to Cape Town. I became involved in public relations for international motivational speakers which included writing editorials, arranging radio and TV interviews, etc. By default I became involved in assisting my husband with starting a sales division to sell piston helicopters. I was very successful at this and became a full time Sales and Marketing Director for Aviation Jet Consultants and sold many piston helicopters, turbine helicopters, and just prior to that self-evaluation process, I facilitated the sale of 2 Airbus airliners from airline to airline.

What are your future plans and aspirations for your company?
I would like to open a Wellness Studio and offer different exercise modalities and nutritional support.
What gives you the most satisfaction being an entrepreneur?
I can express my own creativity in all aspects!
What's the biggest piece of advice you can give to other women looking to start-up?
If it's your passion - DO IT !

Why LoA loves it….
For many entrepreneurs, finding a passion for something in life often leads to the opportunity to take that new found passion and turn it into a business. In the case of Deborah Nicholls, her passion for wellness and her desire to help clients harness the power of exercise to ensure a happier and healthier ageing process, led her to transforming her own career and onto an entrepreneurial path of her own. Today, she is taking all of her experience and learnings in the wellness space and helping others to find their own healthier and more fulfilled lives. --- Melanie Hawken, founder and editor-in-chief of Lionesses of Africa
