Professional Make-Up Artist and Founder of SuzieBeauty, Suzie Wokabi, has made a breakthrough in the African cosmetics market. Her distant dream of one day starting her own cosmetics line was forced to become a priority because of the state of the cosmetics retail market in Kenya. All the high quality products in the market were unaffordable, and the affordable make-up product lines were of poor quality. The process of developing SuzieBeauty – the cosmetics line – hence began in early 2009.

After two years of product, market and manufacturing research, Suzie developed a range of product that is targeted to the African woman. The SuzieBeauty brand was acquired by the Flame Tree Group in December 2015. Suzie’s goal has been to build a company that will be a major player in the international beauty market, after establishing itself in all the relevant African markets. Having gained market share, SuzieBeauty is now launching a much sought-after skin care range. The debut products include MAKE-UP REMOVER, CLEANSER, TONER, AND MOISTURIZER. Suzie’s priority is her customers’ wants and preferences. Key ingredients used tap in to the African core of the line: Avocado, Aloe, Coconut, and Olive Oil, and plenty of antioxidants.
