Startup Story
Identifying a collective need in Angola’s property market to make finding the perfect house or apartment as hassle free as possible, was the inspiration for Tatiana Da Encarnação Casaca and her co-founders to create IMO NExT. The company has developed the country’s first app to help streamline the property finding process.
LoA chatted to Tatiana this month to find out more….

Share a little about your entrepreneurial journey. And, do you come from an entrepreneurial background?
The passion for business and entrepreneurship began as a child, I always liked to know how things work, and how they can be improved and transformed. That is why I decided to take the civil engineering course. When I finished my degree and returned to the country, I decided to rent a house to live in, and the research process was a very bad experience. Then came the idea of creating a platform that really helped people to find real estate in a convenient, quick way, but also safe.
What are your future plans and aspirations for your company?
We are currently looking for partners and/or investors to launch the application for the Android and IOS system. After that, we want to reach 500.000 unique users in one year.
“We always opt for transparency, and the ease of communication between the landlord and the tenant, in addition to keeping the information always up to date on the platform.”
What gives you the most satisfaction being an entrepreneur?
Being able to help or improve people's quality of life.
What's the biggest piece of advice you can give to other women looking to start-up?
Identify a real need, create a consistent business plan, and work hard.

Why LoA loves it….
For many people, embarking on the process to find that perfect house or apartment can be extremely stressful and time-consuming. Having the luxury of a specialist app that helps to take the guess-work out of the task is one that is appealing to consumers in Angola. Tatiana and her co-founders at IMO NExT have developed an exciting app that takes the hard work and stress out of property hunting, and customers. We have no doubt that customers will welcome this useful tool to make the whole experience a little less stressful and a whole lot more efficient. — Melanie Hawken, founder & ceo of Lionesses of Africa
