Chule Gobodo, the Love Activist, creates digital content for the purpose of creating shared healing experiences. Whether it's through her newly launched web series Conversations with a Love Activist, contributing to podcasts, important conversations, and speaking on topics and tools around self-love, self-care, and personal growth, Chule tells personal stories that heal.
Conversations With A Love Activist is a candid,12 part personal documentary web-series with Chule the Love Activist. This series charts Chule's personal heroine's journey towards healing and wholeness inspired by the Corona Virus and the strain of the Lockdown on her mental health. She will invite Wise Women to join her, including her own mother Nonkululeko Gobodo, her life coach Shannon Pam, and her spiritual healer Gogo Sophia, who will all equip her with culturally relevant, practical, self-love tools to share with others.
There is a lot of conscious based content available, but much of it is not directed at African women. What makes Conversations With A Love Activist relevant and compelling is Chule the love activist herself. Chule is a certified birth doula, owns a storytelling agency called Brainbow Conscious Creatives, is a Filmmaker, a Speaker and Blogger. As a mother, a wife and a rape survivor, Chule knows how unhealed wounds can adversely affect not just your life but the lives of your loved ones. She started her journey to self-awareness and consciousness in 2010 after suffering a nervous breakdown. A Hero's Journey is a psychological Jungian term that charts the journey of transformation, self-confrontation, healing, and self-actualization. By sharing her heroine's journey as it unfolds she hopes to inspire others to courageously start their own.
Chule hopes to provide culturally relevant, practical self-love tools for African women to thrive. She hopes to start important conversations around healing trauma, healing feminine and womb wounding, healing from racism and prejudice, and awakening to our authentic power.

Speaking about the inspiration for creating Conversations with a Love Activist, founder Chule Gobodo says:
“This pandemic has been a huge catalyst to creating Conversations with a Love Activist, a personal documentary web series. As I saw a rise in racial clashes, gender-based violence, and experiencing three Covid deaths in one week, my mental health took a knock. I was inspired to create a space where we can unpack these strange times and provide practical tools for self-love and healing. Launching Conversations with a Love Activist is my way of keeping myself accountable to my healing and personal growth and I hope to create a wave of healing experiences for African women.”
