The journey to becoming a successful woman entrepreneur can often be a lonely one. But in Luanda, Angola, Diandra Vaal Neto, founder of Clube Das Empresárias, a leading platform for women entrepreneurs in the country, has the solution. She has launched SPACE by Clube Das Empresárias, a new co-working space in the city exclusively for women, providing a much-needed professional and personal development community.
SPACE is a new co-working space created by by Clube Das Empresárias, the company best known for its digital platform which is exclusively for woman based in Luanda, Angola. The company’s mission is to create a more just and equitable community. Clube Das Empresárias has launched its personal and professional development hub that curates the best-in-class resources, tools and events to advance women personally and professionally.
Clube Das Empresárias has been for the past 5 years the leading platform for woman entrepreneur in Angola, and most recently launched the first female-only co-working space in Angola to empower woman evolving in their personal and professional lives. The co-working space will feature events, courses and exclusive content to empower woman to take leadership positions and to create equal opportunities in the community.
What makes SPACE by Clube Das Empresárias different is that it recognises that women lack empowerment and resources in many areas. Research shows that in general women-run start-ups are hampered by bias among male investors. They receive less interest and, in the end, less funding from male investors. Female-focused spaces are often challenged… but given the recent news of rampant sexual harassment in many industries and at many levels, a space designed for and by women is attractive to many. Women often get further, faster when they are surrounded by other inspiring women, in a judgement free environment that not only encourages vulnerability but also challenges them to grow.
A launch event of the new SPACE by Clube Das Empresárias had been planned but due to the current situation, it has been necessary to delay the launch event. More details will be provided soon - keep checking the website and social media for further official launch information.
Speaking about her aspirations for SPACE by Clube Das Empresárias, founder Diandra Vaal Neto, says:
“In the rise of the Time’s Up and other movements touching gender inequality, grabbing headlines across the world, there’s never been a better time for female entrepreneurs to step into the limelight. Women-only co-working spaces are springing up to nurture this new generation of innovators in creative environments that help them thrive. Our aspirations are to become the leading woman platform and co-working space in our region and to help women live up to their greatest potential, helping them achieve their dreams personally and professionally.”
