Book Review
In her new book, NOtivation: Use the Power of NO to Make Your First Million Dollars, Dr Kristin Kahle explains why she has a love/hate relationship with the word “no.” It’s not her favorite word. As a female entrepreneur in a male dominated industry, Kristin has heard the word “no” more times than she can count. Sound familiar?
Dr Kristin Kahle says that if she had a dollar for every time she heard that word NO, she’d have millions, but that would just be way too easy, not to mention boring, so she went out and made the millions herself. She decided, almost right from the womb, she could either let the word NO stop her, frustrate her and make her feel small, or she could instead rise up against it and prove them all wrong. She chose the latter. Today, she is undeniably strong, determined and unstoppable, and nothing lights a fire under her like being told she can’t do something. She finds it motivating. Actually, she finds it NOtivating, which is the eyecatching title of her new book.
If you are a fierce woman entrepreneur who is sick and tired of playing by someone else’s rules, Dr Kristin Kahle is there to help you. This book contains “Nine NOtivational Nuggets” of wisdom meant to guide you in taking over the business world. You’ll learn about the power of mindset, how to become your own hero, and do business with the best of them! This book will help you grow into the badass businesswoman you were meant to be. You are strong. You are powerful. And, after reading this book, you’ll be ready to go out there and claim your riches.
Author quotes
I started my own company in a highly male-dominated industry and made my first million dollars at age 28. Then I sold that company and started another one. I took it to a million dollars within a year. And then I did it again.
For me, NO is motivation. Being told NO by the world is the very thing that motivated (or NOtivated, if you will) me to become part of the less than five percent of women business owners who earn $1 million+ in annual revenue.
Do you want to know how I did it? Want to learn how to do it yourself? I want that for you, too, because I think women like us are sick of being told NO by the business world. Let’s change it.

Why LoA loves it….
There is not a single woman entrepreneur out there who does not hear the word NO on a daily basis. It’s almost become a part of the journey as an entrepreneur, and most of us build a very thick skin in order to deal with it, and move on. However, in this riveting new book, Dr Kristin Kahle has caught on to a really interesting way of dealing with all those NOs we encounter in life and in business. She uses them as motivation (or NOtivation as she smartly calls it) for proving everyone wrong, doing things her way, and getting the job done, in spite of the opposition or naysayers. This is a great read if you are constantly butting up against NOs on your own entrepreneurial journey, and you now want to harness all that negativity as a force for good in your own business. — Melanie Hawken, founder & ceo of Lionesses of Africa
