LoA spoke to Vuyolwethu Reoagile about her business background, her entrepreneurial journey to date, and her aspirations for the future.
What does your company do?
RR Comms specializes in creating tailored communications solutions, including business writing, digital campaign management, website development, and paid ads management.
What inspired you to start your company?
As a young township girl, I watched my grandmother feed her family by stretching her pension and engaging in various business activities; traveling to Durban from Port Elizabeth to buy clothes and resell them. She also sold sweets and other snacks like ice lollies in the hot summer to kids. I started my own business not knowing that I was emulating her; I have always had a liberated spirit and a love for stories (writing them, reading them, being part of them). The early days of the internet, the community, the vibes, and the blogs are the happy places I aim to create for my clients. Instead of just building a digital strategy that talks to bots, we sought to build a positive online community.

“We actively collaborate with young, ambitious freelancers from underprivileged areas, tapping into their untapped creativity and fresh perspectives. This approach not only enriches our projects but also expands our clients' reach with innovative solutions.”
Why should anyone use your service or product?
Our team stands out for its dynamic composition, bringing together up-and-coming Black women leaders in Johannesburg, alongside a network of Gen Z and millennial minds committed to authentic online engagement. We actively collaborate with young, ambitious freelancers from underprivileged areas, tapping into their untapped creativity and fresh perspectives. This approach not only enriches our projects but also expands our clients' reach with innovative solutions.
Tell us a little about your team:
Our leader in ensuring our client accounts are well-managed is Roselia Ntwane. Tshireletso Seripe is the brains behind capturing content for our clients, while Phemelo Mayaba and Thabang Moshabela lead visual strategy. As the founder, I see myself as an enabler for these young creatives to express their dynamic talent while delivering amazing work to our clients.
Share a little about your entrepreneurial journey. And do you come from an entrepreneurial background?
My entrepreneurial journey began with a strong passion for storytelling and digital media. While I don't come from an entrepreneurial background (besides home), my drive to create and innovate led me to establish RR Comms. I started freelancing in 2016 to spend more time with my children; after building a few relationships that were contributing to my family's well-being, I decided to expand and formalize my business in 2022.
“Our future plans include expanding our services to a broader international audience and becoming a leading name in the communications industry, specializing in uncovering talent from underprivileged communities.”
What are your future plans and aspirations for your company?
Expanding our services to a broader international audience and becoming a leading name in the communications industry, specializing in uncovering talent from underprivileged communities.
What gives you the most satisfaction being an entrepreneur?
Seeing our clients succeed and knowing that our contributions played a part in their growth and success.
