Necessary endings! In my previous blog I wrote about the time of endings. In a business this happens all too often. Usually it is out with the old, in with the new, or a new strategy for growth or another line for the shelves, and the one not so good must make space for a more client friendly one. Yet many of us as businesspeople have to end good things as well.
Just this past holiday I bumped into one of my subordinates way back in financing. I love this person’s work ethics, gentle manners and smooth talk, but he was a gem hidden at the wrong side of the tracks. I sort of chucked him out. He was wasting his talent with me… I cried but today I know that it was the best for him. Unnecessary endings might not even be that it is the right thing to do, but many mentors will ask ... in order for you to really grow... who must go? Wait for that fist in the stomach. Yep.!!!!!
Let us take a peep in our references in nature.
Mr Old Man knows his pride needs new blood for survival. And he sets off alone.
Two matriarchs in the wild dog camp knows that one must wait to learn or go and create her own den.
Elephants - when a family member dies due to illness some must give up their own status for the sake of the group no matter how high you are in ranking.
I am sure that these examples can be found all over the world, but for the purpose of this article… What if you are part of the necessary ending, or you have decided to END and focus on something else?
4 Key elements to hold on to:
Accept
Embrace
Wisdom
Never doubt
At the end of these 19s, the 20s, heck the 80s, and the new time of AI, our next-door neighbour, city living changes, I want you to take a good look at yourself - happy, okay, coping, stressed, so much that I have to do, etc…. Then write it DOWN where you can always put your hands on it!!
Here is a suggestion - write down the following to focus your mind.
I AM …… (-any affirmations about yourself - ask friends loved ones)and some baddies…,,
I AM good at….
I want to get better in…
I still have a lot to offer!!
I AM going to stand at the crossroads and decide what is best for ME.
If you are like me, after 25 years in an industry I have decided to do my necessary ending and to focus on my client’s needs - they need a much more hands-on form of business coaching help that is affordable.
So here is the new revised Junglewealth 20!
Business coaching for the smaller SME start-ups, to encounter and have a full on #Junglewealth trip in 2020 with a lawyer, accountant, psychologist and a business mentor. Success camps. This is going to get the fog lifted…from your mind.
Watch the space for the price early 2020.
It doesn’t matter what you decide - you are a strong woman. You laugh, you cry. You give but you are not a walkover, even when you leave the clan.
May the reset button be a blast off!
2019 was a necessary ending!
