Kigali, Rwanda, 16 May 2015 - The creative team at African fashion retailer, Bold Kampala, continued their hugely successful world tour, with Kigali being the latest destination for these innovative fashionistas. Here, the Bold Kampala tour teamed up with local Kigali favourite, House of Tayo, providing the perfect venue for local fashion buyers to check out some of the very best African creations. The whole concept of the fashion pop-up store, showcasing the best of African fashion, is proving to be a real hit with buyers both at home and abroad.
This latest leg of the tour followed hot on the heels of the recent Bold Kampala London tour in March, which attracted some of the fashion capital’s trendiest buyers to their pop-up store in Great Windmill Street’s Grace Bar, in the heart of the West End.
Speaking about the local market reaction to the latest Kigali pop-up store opening, Ngyenzi 'Nunu' Mugyenyi, the Business Development Director of BOLD Kampala, commented:
“Kigali was so good to us, the pop-up store went great! It was a fantastic turn out, a great location, lots of sales, and some pieces even sold out. The support on the day, and the days leading up to the event was overwhelming. A big group of Ugandans drove and flew down to support us on the day.”
Preparations for the next leg of the Bold Kampala world tour have already begun, with Angola being the next pop-up location on the calendar. Watch out for more news on this latest tour date over the coming weeks.
