Some of us will like the next upcoming season whilst others know they must handle a season which is not particularly their favorite. We each have a favorite time of the year. What is obvious is that we have to go through the next phase. That is a natural law. Each phase has potential. Either to cleanse or to create time to think and evaluate. Maybe to bring new beginnings like Spring or the breakthrough of the sun during summer.
If you decide you want to travel, most of us carefully consider the weather. We try to sidestep extreme weather by carefully examining past data and forecasts. Surely nobody wants to be in the bush during an extreme heatwave or in a snowy region during a blizzard. Working in the Junglewealth program, it became obvious that our money has the exact same seasons.
So, by looking at your finances, in which season are you? The facts will be obvious.
They can be at death's door or close to a breakthrough that you have been saving for! Maybe in Autumn, it’s a case of waiting for new beginnings? Do you consider your risk and investments to have different seasons or do you try to handle both with the same sweep of your hand? How about your business season? Where are you at?
You have to take a good look at all your finances. Income vs debt can be in a winter season but your investments might be going into summer soon with economies turning. Your business is in a dry season but the rain is on the way. Analyse, consider and plan.
The biggest mistake that you can make is to rush through each money season. It is there for a purpose. To get direction, to redirect, to decide another destination, to clean up the status, getting rid of old habits is like a good storm. Consider connecting to a good weather forecaster - that good old expedition leader - the business coach, the Financial Planner, but don’t weather the storms alone and make ready for the summers at hand.
Each season brings something unique. Enjoy them with a wise attitude.
