The great thing about creating a business is that there are no limits when it comes to launching new ideas and ways to improve - but one thing is for sure, selling is what keeps it running. The subject of sales gets everybody argus-eyed, searching and learning about it, because people want to sell and want to know how to sell their goods or services effectively.
I noticed that people hardly realize that we are always selling in many different ways. When we’re convincing a friend to buy a product or service we have used, and even when we have never personally used but just heard about it, we’re selling. The difference is that money is going into other persons’ pocket.
The way one presents oneself to others is also a way of selling, because most of the time people look at who is selling. No matter how great your product is, or if you have the best service ever, people buy from the people they know or trust, meaning there must be similarities between the seller and the buyer.
On the other hand, people buy the story you tell around the goods or services you want to provide, which means their emotions must be touched so that they may identify themselves with what is being offered and take action.
I truly believe that for every business there is a buyer. We can have a thousand businesses launching similar products or services but different people will be attracted to each individual company for different reasons. When selling your product or service rest assured that not everybody will buy no matter how good you are at sales. Understand that a group of people will be attracted to buy your idea, and it’s fine.
Spend less time trying to figure out why people are not buying your product or service. Instead your focus should be on those who are buying for two simple reasons. Firstly, the buyers help you improve your goods or services better than those who never have been or simply aren’t interested. Secondly, if you work with what you have and improve gradually, you may gather more new clients.
