Given the current status quo globally and the State of Emergency declared this past weekend in South Africa, it is far from Business as Usual for businesses. But it is the ideal time to do business differently, change the course, be a disruptor, and use the current situation to your advantage.
We all know that big businesses find it difficult to near impossible to be agile and make fast and impactful decisions. But as entrepreneurs we do this almost on the daily and can be agile within the bat of eye.
Many people have needs to be satisfied, especially if it can be done digitally. Where it cannot, hygiene is a necessity. What I am trying to say, is that if you have a solution, now is the time to offer it digitally since people are home, looking for solutions, entertainment, etc. and you will never have a more captive and receptive audience. For the first time ever, many online consumers for the past two days are trying out online shopping! And most of them will find they like the convenience and the fact that not only did it keep them safe, but they saved time!
So, my advice: deliver a service online, get your key messaging and product offering in front of your target market NOW, in a digital format, be it through Google advertising, emailers or social media. Disrupt the status quo and make a brand impact.
