Managing people and payroll for any size and type of business can be a challenge, but in South Africa, that is no longer the case. Entrepreneur Nthabiseng Dube, founder of Polish Management Services, is bringing her specialist HR expertise to add value and, importantly, find solutions for her clients. From Recruitment Solutions, Payroll Contract Management and Labour Relations, Polish Management Services is a go-to source of help and advice.
LoA chatted to Nthabiseng Dube as she recently celebrated her graduation from the Lionesses of Africa and Siemens Accelerator for high growth women entrepreneurs in Johannesburg, South Africa.
What does your company do?

What inspired you to start your company?
My deepest inspiration was to create experience for myself after the quick realisation that one needs experience to get work. Without experience, companies tend to be more reluctant to hire anyone. After graduating with a human resource management qualification in 2014 I was excited to put my knowledge into a practical working environment but as life would have it most of my job applications were rejected due to lack of experience. In order to enter the job market I decided to start a company that will give me enough experience within the recruitment sector to get a good paying job. My love for the company grew in the direction I least expected because I was not only changing my reality but the reality of others. What initially started as a selfish act soon became a selfless act, connecting job opportunities to people quickly became my core essence and that in turn changed my outlook when it comes to life and challenges.
Why should anyone use your service or product?
How we have positioned ourselves in being an HR power house by offering services that speak to every aspect of human resource. Our services are equivalent to being an HR business partner for our clients. We offer Recruitment Solutions, Payroll Contract Management and Labour Relations. Under our recruitment division we focus on the niche market of IT, Finance and Engineering along with generalist recruiting tailor made for our clients. As we are big on compliance under our payroll contract management, before assisting our clients with payslip generation, we do due diligence to make sure our clients comply within the industry they operate in through statutory registrations thy might lack in. We offer payslips as well as third party payments, such as medical aid and provident fund along with bank transfer payments across major banks. Our labour relations division includes employment contracts and performance management, CCMA representations, disciplinary hearings and termination management. How we do it is through state-of-the-art systems and over 10 years industry team knowledge that has enabled us to operate beyond our South African borders.

“I want to see Polish Management Services working across Africa in the year 2020, connecting more people to job opportunities beyond our borders, to set up office outside South Africa and to absorb more in-house consultants.”
Share a little about your entrepreneurial journey. And, do you come from an entrepreneurial background?
My first entrepreneurial journey started when I was still studying and doing wine promotions. I met a lady that saw great potential in me and asked me to start a magazine with her. The magazine was called Successful Women Magazine and I was amazed by the things we achieved, such as endorsement deals and partnerships which made me fall in love with the art of creating something out of nothing. Having an idea and doing everything to make it a reality is really inspiring for me. I'm more of a self-taught entrepreneur that’s paving a way through the concrete jungle and I love it!
What are your future plans and aspirations for your company?
I want to see Polish Management Services working across Africa in the year 2020, connecting more people to job opportunities beyond our borders, to set up office outside South Africa and to absorb more in-house consultants.
What gives you the most satisfaction being an entrepreneur?
Connecting people to job opportunities, if you ask anyone to describe themselves, they always start with what they do professionally so being able to give a person a sense of identity gives me more reason to keep doing what I’m doing.
What's the biggest piece of advice you can give to other women looking to start-up?
It starts with you and ends with you. Don't let anyone make you doubt yourself and remember you have everything you need to be successful if you believe that you can move mountains.
