Up-skilling yourself has never been more critical than now, whether that be to cope with what is happening in our world at the moment, or to cope with what the world is going to look like in a few months (or years) from now.
If you are a more cautious decision maker who likes to assess and analyze all your options and data available to you first before making a decision, or you are the type of person who does not cope well with an ever changing environment, you may well be feeling challenged and overwhelmed at the moment.
On the other hand, if you are the type of person that is more extroverted and thrives on social interaction who has now been confined to isolation through enforced social distancing, or you are the type of person that needs a structured environment to work within and don’t have much structure in place now, it would be normal if you were feeling agitated and overwhelmed.
Naturally this will no doubt be having an impact on your emotional indicators (stress levels) and reactive behavior (default traits and coping mechanisms).
While some countries might still be getting to grips with remote working policies and changes, other countries have settled into some form of routine and are beginning to cope with their new reality.
So how do you make the best of a crisis situation?
Find some quiet time to sit down and put a plan of action in place as to short, medium- and long-term goals both personally and professionally.
This can range from adjusting to a new working environment and routine to how we are going to keep the kids on track and entertained while schools are closed. This gives you a sense of being in control of your life, the ability to be prepared and proactive.
One key thing to consider is new ways of working, knowledge and additional skill sets that can help you be more flexible, adaptable, resilient and value-adding in the future.
We have been running The Womenology Masterclass personal growth and leadership development program for the past 5 years with great impact. One of the key tools we utilize is the Personal Development Assessment which provides insights into how we respond and react to situations we find ourselves in and what our strengths and development areas are.
This helps participants to understand themselves better on a deeper level and how this can affect their energy levels and emotional indicators not to mention develop themselves into being more effective and impactful going forward.
You can now enroll yourself or your employees on the Womenology Masterclass Online program as a way to develop them and keep them motivated and engaged whilst remote working. In light of the COVID-19 situation we are providing all LOA members a 30% discount till 30 April 2020 - use the Coupon Code “LOACVD19” when enrolling for the online program.
Lastly, if you, your family, employees and organisation needs assistance with additional support services to help reduce the impact of stress and anxiety over this period, please reach out to us.
In the meantime, stay safe, take preventative measures and keep washing your hands!
Regards,
Paula
