I think we are surely all extremely “bored” by the whole Covid 19 pandemic, although we cannot change the heartache it brought. We still mourn loved ones and we still pray for the world. Let’s talk about a bit of a different point of view today. As hikers, we know that we can go and hike the same road and see many different sceneries every time, although it stays the same route. Somewhere you get that urge to do something totally new and different. The exact same can and maybe should happen in our finances and our businesses.
Here is the thing though. Every road requires a different or a new set of equipment, tools, expertise and even experience. So if I want to take the road less travelled or take a walk on the “wild” side with some elephants , I will surely need to focus on:
Why this?
What do I want to achieve?
Should I consider some advice?
What type of equipment is vital?
Take an example, Tumi started a different line of chocolates last year! This year she decided to put extra money away for special reasons - but where? Tumi will surely need a specialist to help. Otherwise she might make a vital savings mistake.
Or Susan just cannot do the schooling thing but decides to teach children art which is her passion. A new set of “ shoes” altogether will be necessary. Different angle lenses, art equipment, etc. Online is not the classroom vibe.
You get it…. I am sure.
So, whatever you tackle head on this year - get the gear, get the advice, and then Lioness, the world is yours to conquer again! If you don’t really have the itch.. then don’t even start. Those new sneakers are going to end up in the cupboard. That means this new venture or savings plan will not survive.
Get cracking!
A word of advice - walk in the new “tekkies” ..... we don’t want you to give up halfway now do we? That means make sure and test the environment, the surroundings and all the necessary precautions before you just let go!
