One of my biggest fears in life is to walk into a room full of opportunities and decision-makers and I AM NOT PREPARED. If you get “LUCKY” to be in the right place, at the right time, and with the right people but you are not prepared, you will lose what could be a “once in a lifetime” opportunity.
Being prepared for opportunities can have so many benefits and here are some of them:
1. Being prepared gives one the confidence and the courage to have discussions, pursue goals, and take risks.
2. When you are prepared, skilled, and knowledgeable it increases your chances of succeeding by having the ability to act quickly with wisdom.
3. Being on time is also a huge benefit towards your preparedness, and it also makes the people you are meeting see that you value their time and it presents you as reliable.
In my next write up I’ll share some of the principles I apply to do my best to be ready. You can also share with me how you get yourself ready.
Let’s conclude with the following quotes:
”By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” Benjamin Franklin
”Opportunity does not waste time with those who are unprepared.” Idowu Koyenikan
Have a blessed month and an awesome week ahead.
