Bella Naija founder, Uche Pedro won the award for ‘Best Blogger – Africa’ at the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday, 12 March at The Forum in Inglewood, California. This talented Nigerian blogger and online media entrepreneur won the award ahead of other African bloggers including, Sylvia Kamau (Kenya), Aisha Baker (South Africa), and Theodora Lee(South Africa).

The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards (KCAs) is an annual awards show hosted by the Nickelodeon cable channel. The awards honour the biggest and most popular television shows, movies, music, books and blogs that are popular among youths and Nickelodeon viewers.
Uche Pedro emerged as the winner of the 'Best Blogger - Africa' category due to the popularity of her blog, BellaNaija, which she created in 2006. This hugely popular blog platform covers life style tips, daily news, fashion, weddings, beauty and style. BellaNaija.com has established a loyal following amongst the young, cosmopolitan, upwardly mobile set in Nigeria, with over 1 million unique visitors and 9 million page views each month.
