Author Quotes
You know what happens when you take an interest in others? They want to do business with you. Not because you're offering the best product or service, but because they like you.
There’s a difference between surviving and thriving. Did you know that the only way to feel fulfilled (to thrive) is to focus on others. When we’re fulfilled, the ups and downs of life are experienced more like waves than tsunamis, and life’s disruptions rarely impact our overall satisfaction with life.
There’s a big difference between a transaction and loyalty. Loyal people are willing to turn down a better product, price or service to continue doing business with us and often don’t research the competition or entertain other options.
About the author
Dayna Mason (writing also as Dayna Reid) is an inspirational author and entrepreneur. She enjoyed a thirty-year career in technology, working for Bank of America, Boeing, and lastly serving as a technology director for a regional insurance company. She’s owned and operated several successful businesses in the fields of wedding ministry, writing, book publishing, and real estate investing and consulting. Dayna has always been fascinated by what makes people tick and felt great compassion for the human struggle. She’s written dozens of articles and books to create awareness of options for overcoming challenges and realizing lasting health and happiness. Her lifelong commitment to inspiring people to make meaningful changes in their lives drives her every day. Whether it's writing a new book in hopes of sharing life-changing information or tracking down the perfect property for someone, helping people is what fulfills her.
She grew up in a low-income neighborhood in the city of Seattle surrounded by cultural, economic and social diversity. This upbringing gave her an appreciation of all differences. She had two main loves; people and books. She spent most of her childhood either reading books, hustling to make money, or observing people and contemplating why they did the things they did. After officiating hundreds of weddings and collecting a variety of wording choices for creating ceremonies, she published the bestseller, “Do- It-Yourself Wedding Ceremony: Choosing the Perfect Words and Officiating Your Unforgettable Day” (now in its third edition). Growing up in poverty, her only access to books was through the library. So, once she published her first book, her entire focus for the next year, was getting the book into all the libraries. She wanted to make sure that lack of money would not prevent anyone from using the book to make their wedding day unforgettable. Dayna currently resides in the southern California area. She still loves books and has been spotted at the library taking pictures of her books on the shelves.
